Prof. Khadiga Gaafar (President)

Professor of Endocrinology in the Zoology Department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University.

Founded in 1994 and is Deputy Chairman of HISS, an educational institute with more than 8000 students Member of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation team in the Faculty of Science, Cairo University.

Member of the Scientific Committee for the promotion of Professors and Assistant Professors in the Supreme Council of Universities (Basic Science Committee).

President of the Egyptian German Society of Zoology (EGSZ) since February, 2012.

She has established in April 2012the first Animal Research Ethics Committee (AREC) in Egypt in the Faculty of Science, Cairo University in collaboration with EGSZ, with the aim of performing unbiased ethical and scientific reviews of the research using experimental animal models in research, testing, and teaching.

Prof. Dr. Fathy Abdel-Aty Abdel-Ghaffar (Secretary)

Professor of Parasitology and invertebrates, Zoology Department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt (M.Sc.Parasitology,1972,Ph.D.Parasitology,1980, Assistant professor degree, 1985, Professor degree, 1991).

His position now is a member of upgrading members of faculties of sciences in Egypt. He attend more than 35 conferences all over the world, the last one was in Berline, Germany.

He was published up till now more than 120 publication in impacted journals and he is interested for studying electron microscopic branch of science for myxosporidian, microsporidian, coccidian parasites.

Two patents were recorded by him the first one entitled Compostion comprises flavovoid containing extract from plants of the genus Citrus and the second was Pharmaceutical or veterinary medical preparation obtained from onion Allium cepa and coconut Cocos nucifera useful for controlling flatworms, both were recorded in AlphaBiocare

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Shershaby, Cairo University

Ph.D. in Zoology, University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, U.K. Title of thesis: Cytological studies on cell death in blastocyst and uterine epithelium in relation to implantation in the mouse

45 published papers in the field of histopathology, experimental embryology and comparative anatomy of vertebrates.

Supervision of seventeen theses (M.Sc. & Ph.D.), staff member of a committee for evaluation of M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Zoology, staff member of a committee for promotion of lecturers and assistant professors to the rank of assistant professor and professor in Zoology. Attendance of several conferences and symposia concerning different branches of Zoology held in some Arabic countries (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Seria, Libia and Moraco).

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hassan Mona

Prof. Invertebrates, Faculty of Science, Tanta University,Egypt

Head of Zoology Department, Faculty of Science, Tanta University

Vice Dean of postgraduate studies and research, Faculty of Science, Tanta University.

Attendance of scientific conferences in Germany, Japan, Syria and Poland . Head of scientific organizing committee of many conferences in different Egyptian Universities.

Member of many scientific socities in Egypt. Supervisor of 70 Ph.D. and MSc. thesis in the field of invertebrates in the Egyptian Universities.

Published 100 scientific papers in international and local journals.

Azza I Othman is Professor of physiology and Vice Dean of Higher education and research in faculty of science, Mansoura University. Prof. Othman has more than 30 years experience in animal and cell physiology and is the author of more than 50 scientific publications. She is one of the eminent scientists of the field of therapeutic antioxidant in which oxidative stress is induced by free radicals in cancer and diabetes. She acted as principle investigator of several research projects and supervised several PhD and MSc thesis. She awarded three prizes from Mansoura University.
